Dinner again at Rakuichi, although this time nobody is hospitalized or anything, just that we were meeting C for dinner and she works in Novena :P Rakuichi is commonly known as our “hospital restaurant”, i.e. we usually eat there when we’re visiting someone at the hospital which is across the road from it.
They started us off with a complimentary amuse bouche of fried fish marinated in some citrus-y dressing with radish shavings. Not bad, but the fish was a little tough.
C ordered the soft shell crab maki which was alright. I’m not a big fan of sushi so I didn’t particularly like it but I’m sure it was quite good.
We ordered both the grilled teriyaki unagi as well as the gindara saikyoyaki. The cod is better I think, but the unagi is not bad. Would have preferred a more charred flavour.
I didn’t bother taking pictures of our regular orders but you can see them here. We headed to this Hong Kong dessert place across the road (the same side as United Square) for desserts. I had the ice cream and pulut hitam
Whereas LZ had the red bean paste. Very nice and much more affordable than having the desserts in Rakuichi.
