The Attic at Salish Lodge, Snoqualmie

This place has one of the best views of restaurants in Washington – directly overlooking Snoqualmie falls. They only have a limited number of tables right by the window though, so one has to come early to get a good seat.

We ordered the pizza ai funghi with balsamic reduction and parmesan chips – not bad at all. Wasn’t expecting too much for something so out of the way but this place is famous for the falls and Twin Peaks etc. The crust is neither Italian (the bubbly sort) nor NY style although it was pretty thin.

The clam chowder was also great. The pottery here is so speckled and pretty.

The chicken pot pie had a slightly sweet crust (which was odd) and it was a puff pastry, not the buttery flaky sort where you cut butter into flour and add ice cold water. It was huge! We had to take most of it home.

Shot this from our table!
